Friends of Boggs Mountain is an 501(c),3 nonprofit organization. Their mission is to enhance visitor’s experience with the forest by providing educational, interpretive and recreation programs, assist in the development of facilities and aid in maintaining and improving the infrastructure at Boggs Mountain State Forest (BMDSF). In order to achieve those goals, the organization collaborates with BMDSF Management and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

The Board of Directors meets three times a year in the Cobb. The public is invited to volunteer and attend.
Friends of Boggs Mountain is open for suggestions and input on how to preserve, enjoy, and return this 3,433-acre demonstration forest. It is our intention to create the conditions now for future recreational use and to reduce the negative impacts. We will be able to know that we are doing everything we can to preserve the beauty and integrity of the forest we love today.
